Q: Nice to meet you, Bradley. Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you came to be working at Solbasium? Maybe you can also share a little about the company, its size, its vision, etc.
It is a pleasure to meet you. Yeah, I’d love to. From the age of 13, I worked for my family’s business, specializing in manufacturing state-of-the-art packaging equipment in the U.S. I was lucky to have had this upbringing because I was exposed to engineering, sales, manufacturing, and customer service from a young age. You could say it’s in my DNA to make great products.
In my early 20s, I developed a passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). I religiously studied many subjects, with electrical engineering being my favorite. I was lucky enough to apply everything I learned at work.
In my mid-20s, I went off on my own to establish a startup specializing in a novel method to transmit radio waves and power. This ended up taking me to Palo Alto and was one hell of an experience. I met an Australian lady and we ended up moving to Oz 4 years ago.
Since moving to Australia, I’d wanted to get involved with another business that involved revolutionary technology while also helping a lot of people. I worked at a software company a couple of years ago, and a coworker mentioned red light therapy. Honestly, I didn’t believe the hype at first. I thought, how in the hell could shining a light help so much? I took the same scientific approach I used in the past, reviewed many papers, and was almost instantly convinced.
I ended up ordering a red light therapy panel to test out. My partner used it on her face, and I used it on a troubled shoulder that I had surgery on when I was 15. I was blown away by the results. I significantly relieved pain in my shoulder from exercise, and my partner’s skin looked amazing.
I realized from the get-go that the potential for innovation in this market was enormous, but more importantly, we could create something that would positively impact millions of lives. It was at that moment that Solbasium was born.
I fanatically educated myself on all things red light therapy, including the products, science, and electronics involved. Then, I began ordering products from competitors’ suppliers overseas and elsewhere. Unfortunately, I found that many manufacturers overseas were producing inadequate products lacking quality components and engineering.
I narrowed my research down to one manufacturer that I thought was producing a fantastic product. So in October 2019, I hopped on a plane and flew to China to meet my manufacturer and tour the facility. From there, we brought our panels to market that you see now. Adding the panels was our first step to enter the market. You have to crawl before you walk.
Now to the present day, Solbasium has been operating for a little over a year. We are still in startup mode with four employees, but we predict that this will change very soon with the launch of our patented products.
The vision of Solbasium is relentless innovation in the health and wellness space. We want to bring products to life that will positively impact as many people as possible while pushing science and engineering boundaries. Q: Can you comment a bit on your competition in the space? We have heard so much about Joov, Celluma, PlatinumLED, and many others. How do you see yourself against your ‘competitors’ and how do you differentiate yourselves?
A: I think competition is great, and I love that it exists in the red light therapy field. Without competition, we’d be stuck with devices that remain the same for years. This has actually been the case for quite some time, and Solbasium is going to change that.
From reviewing multiple devices, I can confidently say that we have the best products on the market. From the overall craftsmanship of the device to the electronics, we are the best. Also, I’d say we are one of maybe a few companies that have physically visited our manufacturing facilities and played a role in developing our product.
The one thing I will say about the competition is that no one is really innovating in this space. The panel concept is okay and can deliver results, but they can be made better. Not only that, red light therapy devices can take many sizes, shapes, forms and serve many purposes. That’s what we are the best at, innovation. Unfortunately, it seems like everyone is looking to make a quick buck off people and refuse to push the limits. However, this will change very soon with the launch of our newest product later this year.
I’ll finish it with our most important differentiator, customer service. That is a top concern at Solbasium. I’ll share a customer’s journey from the past month. This person had a diabetic sore on their foot. The wound got to be pretty bad, with amputation of the foot being a real possibility. They reached out and ended up using one of our devices. I can’t even begin to tell you the emotions I felt when this client reached out to tell me the wound had healed fully and that they were okay. These are the moments we cherish and the ones that make it worthwhile doing what we do.
Q: Ok, let’s talk about the nitty-gritty tech. nnEMF Levels, Power Output, LED’s & Wavelength, etc! If we were to stack this up against your competition, where do we look in terms of price point?
A: emf device. If it’s important to the customer, then it’s important to us.
The power output in irradiance of our devices is up to 100mW/cm² at 6″. Our Optix series models range from 60 LEDs to 480 LEDs producing the most bioactive wavelengths of 660nm and 850nm. In addition, we have a new model coming out in the next two months that will come shipped with additional wavelengths. One of the coolest things about Solbasium, though, is the ability to customize your device completely. We can customize the wavelength, power output and even offer larger-sized panels.
When compared to the competition I’ll be the first to say we aren’t the cheapest in terms of price point, but we also aren’t the most expensive. We have managed to create the highest quality red light therapy devices on the market at affordable prices. Even with the best product design and engineering in the industry, we are still lower than Joovv.
Q: Why do you feel that someone should buy your products? Which ones specifically do you think are most valuable?
A: People do have options, but if they want the best red light products in the industry and a company that stands behind their product, Solbasium is the only option in my eyes. Not only that, we have unmatched customer service in this industry and provide next-level support and education.
I think our red light therapy panels are the most valuable at the moment. It is a great way to experience the benefits of red light therapy in the comfort of your own home.
Q: What is currently the best product you offer? What are your standard go-to-market strategies? What have you seen that has led to the fastest growth?
A: The best product we currently offer is the Optix 180. I say this because it is the ideal device to treat the entire body with red light therapy. Another great product is our massage gun. I didn’t want to miss out on mentioning that product.
We’ve experimented a lot with our marketing strategies and have a system in place now that it is beginning to show promise, and that is education. We’ve launched a youtube channel and focused on publishing quality content on our site and others that have helped a lot.
Q: What is the current roadmap for the company? Where do you want to be in 6-12 months?months, and 5 years?
A: Right now, we are focusing heavily on creating new products and plan on launching our first crowdfunding campaign in the coming months. It really is an exciting time for us, and we can’t wait to bring new groundbreaking technology to the market.
In 6 to 12 months, we’d like to expand our current product offering and release our newest product that we have been working on for quite some time. Also, we plan to begin working on our next series of products as we raise funding.
In 5 years, our goal to make Solbasium a household name. We are focused on creating a brand like Nike or Apple in the health and wellness space. I’m excited because I believe that you’ll see our products used by elite athletes and everyday people of all walks of life in the next few years. So yeah, the goal is to become a primary household name and brand.
Q: I see that you also offer a 30-day trial. Is that for all your products? How can you afford to do this? Does this apply to all international orders?
A: Yep, we sure do offer a 30 day trial period. We offer this because we stand behind our products and know that they work. It all comes down to bringing something to the table that works. If you do that, then you don’t have to worry about people wanting to return your product.
In the event someone wants to return their product, then no worries. We have multiple fulfillment centers and warehouses that we work with, so no matter where you’re at in the world, we’ve got you covered.

Q: How do you see the biohacking and anti-aging/longevity industries developing?
A: Man, this is a big one. I think the biohacking and antiaging/longevity industries are set to explode in growth in the coming years. More and more people are becoming aware that there is technology out there that can help them live a longer, healthier life.
Because of the biohacking industry, I think we will see more and more of this revolutionary technology becoming commonplace. Biohacking has a planted a seed for what is to come. I think one day, a lot of the revolutionary ideas in this field will be widely accepted and fall into the general health and wellness field. We are seeing doctors and other professionals now that are implementing red light therapy and other biohacking techniques.
People in the biohacking community really are pioneers for the advancement of humanity.
Q: How has the Solbasium Massage Gun been received in the market?
A: The massage gun has been met with great success in the market. The reason being is that we provide a product with impressive specs and excellent customer service. Not to mention our competitor charges double for an equivalent model with the same specs as ours. Another reason why it has done well is that there are so many cheap and poorly engineered massage guns. It seems like everywhere you look these days, you see massage guns. Red Light Therapy for Weight Loss
Red light therapy is a scientifically proven approach to weight loss. Also known as photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT), red light therapy harnesses the power of light energy to trigger beneficial changes to the body.
